Volunteering in Pennine West
When someone calls Citizens Advice, will you be there?

Why not train to become a Citizens Advice Volunteer Gateway Assessor/Adviser or support us at First Choice Homes Oldham (FCHO) as a Customer IT and Information volunteer!

The people of Oldham and Rochdale need YOU!

The Citizens Advice service provides free, independent, confidential and impartial advice to everyone on their rights and responsibilities. We value diversity, promote equality and challenge discrimination.

As a Volunteer, you will play a central role in tackling injustice, reducing poverty and social exclusion, and enabling people to realise their full potential.

  • The Gateway role involves listening to clients, gathering details, and researching information to empower them to manage their problems.
  • The Customer IT and information role supports people at FCHO offices to search the web and use online self help tools. For more information on this role only, please email apply@penninewestcab.org.uk
  • Adviser roles give more in-depth advice and support on the options available to people with more complex problems and the kind of action they can take.

All our roles make a real difference to the lives of local people!
